Oh, have I found some beautiful projects out there on the world wide web to show you! I always visit The Graphics Fairy to see the beautiful vintage clipart she posts, but really love it when I run across gorgeous projects posted there as well.
Just look at these shabby chic vintage Christmas stockings!
These beauties were made by Rona Gregory, over at Life's Simple Pleasures. A little bit of burlap, a little bit of Damask, some lace, and of course free graphics from The Graphics Fairy, and voila! She's got some heirlooms to hand down to her kids' kids! I happen to love tone-on-tone, or as in this case, a bold color paired with white, so don't you just know that red and white pillow is calling my name! I just might have to make one of those myself!
But, I digress as usual. What I really wanted to tell you is that The Graphics Fairy now has two new sites: The Graphics Fairy Crafts and The Graphics Fairy DIY. On the Do It Yourself site, you will learn to do just that - make her projects yourself at home. On her crafts site, you will find gorgeous creations like these:
A very creative person named Lizzy Pe made this cute lantern
and posted it to The Graphics Fairy's Facebook page.
This gorgeous Advent garland was created by Marion at
Miss Mustard Seed for HGTV - isn't it just beautiful?!
And, in case you're like me and actually want to attempt one of these, I've tracked down the instructions for you! They're posted on HGTV.com. I can't wait to print out any old vintage graphic and see what it looks like on canvas or linen or whatever I can find around my house! Then I'll just have to figure out what to do with it...
Enjoy visiting the sites I've listed, and get busy if you're going to attempt any of these for Christmas. Or you could always go back to making those chipboard mini albums!
