You know, sometimes even I like to take a break from mini albums. What?! Shock! Horror! No, really, I do. I mean, how could you look at this adorable guy and not want to make him? (Or at least pinch his cute little rosy red cheeks!) I just love the way he's all tied up in a pretty red Christmas ribbon. And if that isn't the cutest face, I don't know what is!
So, point is, we don't always have to focus on chipboard and mini albums, do we? Let's take a look at some cute and clever Christmas projects then for today. Starting with this guy. He comes from the svgcuts FREE file downloads page (click here: Toy Soldier Box.) There's even a video tutorial.
And if you like that, you're sure to love this:
How cute is that?! Wow - to think it's all made from paper! Well, except for the delish-looking caramel corn inside the mug. Tamara Tripodi made this one, and it's got the instructions for you to make one just like it! That's just awesome! You'll find it here.
Finally, how about this one?
Even though the 3-D drum is cool, I think my fave is the stamp-shaped card in the back, here -
Now THAT would be an awesome card to receive in the mail! Too cute! The file for the sleigh, drum, card, box, and Santa is only $6.99, and can be found here.
By the way, svg files are used with personal electronic cutting machines, like the Silhouette Cameo. You purchase them and cut out your shapes, then assemble, following the instructions provided.
Now... back to chipboard mini albums! I've got one due out on the first of January, and it's so cute!
